In addition, the white surface of the Hy-Crown membrane provides outstanding reflectivity and emissivity compared to dark-colored roofing materials. The high reflectivity will reduce the cost of cooling the building's interior. Certain state and local governments offer incentives for the installation of light colored roofing to aid in reduction of energy consumption. Hy-Crown has a reflectance value of 85 percent.
